Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan attended today (Tuesday) a reception on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the UAE, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, met with the visiting UAE.
China and the UAE enjoy highly integrated cooperation and a strong foundation of public opinion, Wang said, adding that bilateral relations have great regional influence and have achieved many achievements since the establishment of diplomatic relations 35 years ago.
China considers the UAE a close friend and a reliable strategic partner, Wang said, adding that China is ready to work with the UAE to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and push the comprehensive strategic partnership relations to a new level.
Mohammed bin Zayed said that the UAE is a reliable partner for China in the Gulf region and that his country is ready to work with China to inherit the past and move forward into the future, use the joint construction of the Belt and road as an opportunity to deepen cooperation and exchanges in all fields, support communication and coordination in international affairs to raise bilateral relations to a new level.
