Russian military doctors began treating patients with the Coronavirus in a field hospital equipped with Russian assistance in Bergamo, one of the worst affected areas in northern Italy.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement today, Thursday, that its doctors, in cooperation with their Italian colleagues, began treating the patients, as four of ten out of ten patients with corona are currently hospitalized by Russian doctors, adding that the influx of patients continues.
The statement pointed out that the Russian specialists, who number 32 doctors and nurses, are treating cases in intensive care, in addition to medium and mild cases.
Russian doctors work 24 hours a day, with 8 teams alternating over three shifts in a 142-bed hospital, in which 200 Russian and Italian doctors work.
Russian military specialists also continued to sterilize the homes for the elderly in the northern Italian region of Lombardy, where on Wednesday they completed the sterilization of 3 new homes in the region.
