About 40 countries in the world recorded a record high last week in the incidence of new infections in the Corona virus within 24 hours, more than twice the number of the previous week
In a report published today, Saturday, according to its statistics, which rely on official data, the agency affirmed that 37 countries set a record in the daily death toll from Corona during the past week, compared to 20 and 13 countries, respectively, in the previous two weeks.
The agency noted that this unprecedented rise affected countries in all regions of the world, especially the United States, Brazil and India (which are the countries most affected by the virus in the world in terms of the number of infections), Australia, Japan and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China, Bolivia, Mexico, Sudan, Oman and Ethiopia Bulgaria, Belgium, Uzbekistan, Israel, Kenya, and other countries.
The report pointed out that many of these countries, especially those whose governments went to ease restrictions imposed to curb the pandemic, are currently going through the second peak of the epidemic, which comes more than a month after the first.
The agency quoted experts and officials as acknowledging that the true outcome of the injuries almost certainly exceeds the official figures, especially in poor countries that suffer from a weak health care system, warning that the last jump in injuries is expected to be reflected after about two weeks on the death rate due to "Covid-" 19 "caused by coronavirus.
