South Korea's health authorities said that one out of every 3 patients in the country suffering from severe coronavirus had improved their health after being treated with the anti-retroviral drug Remdicever.

She added that more research is needed to determine whether the improvement is really due to the drug or other factors, such as patient immunity and other treatments.

Kwon Joon Wook, deputy director of the Korean centers, said that the condition of 9 patients has improved, while the situation of 15 others has not changed, while the condition of three patients has worsened.

He added that more analysis is needed to infer the usefulness of Remdecifer.

The remedifier has been leading global endeavors to treat the Corona virus, after the intravenous drug has shortened recovery times in clinical trials in the United States.

Many countries, including South Korea, added the drug to the list of treatments for the illness caused by the Coronavirus. No treatment has received formal approval yet.

On Saturday, the Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced the results of 27 patients who had been treated with presidivir in various hospitals.
