The Albanian Daily News, citing good sources, said that the twin earthquake that hit Albania and aftershocks, injuring 105 people.
On Saturday, the seismological laboratory at the University of Athens initially reported 5.6 magnitude tremors, then the quake was raised to 6.0 on the Richter scale.
The quake's epicenter was six kilometers north of the city of Durres, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
A few minutes after the first tremor, new tremors with a magnitude of 5.3 occurred. Three aftershocks followed by a magnitude of 3.1 to 4.1. The next night, the tremors continued, but with much lighter force.
According to good sources, 105 people sought medical assistance. Doctors allowed the vast majority to return home. Seven remained in hospital in Tirana and three in Durres.
The paper said buildings in Tirana were damaged as parts of the walls fell on cars and houses in the coastal city of Durres were badly damaged.
