The Ukrainian authorities did not exclude the continuation of the quarantine in the capital Kiev because of the outbreak of the Corona virus, a year and a half, if the infection rates continue at the same current rate.

The head of the Governmental Authority for Consumer Protection, Oleg Ruban, said on Tuesday: "At the present time, the rate of injuries has maintained a high frequency, and there is no room now to talk about easing quarantine procedures, and to what extent these measures can be extended after July 31, depends on the rate of injuries ".

With these indicators, Ruban noted, Kiev will likely remain in adaptive quarantine for a year and a half.

On March 12, the Ukrainian authorities imposed quarantine measures in the country aimed at tackling the virus, which was later extended until July 31.

According to the latest figures and statistics, Ukraine recorded 54.7 thousand cases of coronavirus, 1.4 thousand people died, and 27.1 thousand recovered.
